Well....I was just not impressed!

Well....
I didn’t like it. There where. Lot of reasons why I didn’t like Fifty Shades Freed but the main one is that it just fell flat. And I mean it dead panned for me. There was the sex...and all that; which is great but a majority of the honeymoon and all the self discovery they have as a couple just didnt happen. And then Mia....I mean she was pretty much ignored; just a person in the background. It was down right annoying. The biggest no no for me. The hospital scene. It reminded me of why I disliked Ana in the end. And after reading Darker I can definitely say this movie just fell flat. It did nothing for me and I can definitely see why the movie got bad reviews. It lacked a good plot and it just seemed rushed and badly put together. I do plan to see it again with another group of women and we’ll see if my views change by then. But right now....I am just not a fan.

Banned Book Week.....2015's most Challenged Books

Welcome to Banned Book Week....
It's during this week that we celebrate the Freadom to read. All to often now a days books and library materials are challenged due to their content. Honestly I think that this happens way to frequently. Here is the list of the American Library Associations top ten most challenged books of 2015:



1) Looking for Alaska, by John Green
Reasons: Offensive language, sexually explicit, and unsuited for age group.
2) Fifty Shades of Grey, by E. L. James
Reasons: Sexually explicit, unsuited to age group, and other (“poorly written,” “concerns that a group of teenagers will want to try it”).
3) I Am Jazz, by Jessica Herthel and Jazz Jennings
Reasons: Inaccurate, homosexuality, sex education, religious viewpoint, and unsuited for age group.
4) Beyond Magenta: Transgender Teens Speak Out, by Susan Kuklin
Reasons: Anti-family, offensive language, homosexuality, sex education, political viewpoint, religious viewpoint, unsuited for age group, and other (“wants to remove from collection to ward off complaints”).
5) The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, by Mark Haddon
Reasons: Offensive language, religious viewpoint, unsuited for age group, and other (“profanity and atheism”).
6) The Holy Bible
Reasons: Religious viewpoint.
7) Fun Home, by Alison Bechdel
Reasons: Violence and other (“graphic images”).
8) Habibi, by Craig Thompson
Reasons: Nudity, sexually explicit, and unsuited for age group.
9) Nasreen’s Secret School: A True Story from Afghanistan, by Jeanette Winter
Reasons: Religious viewpoint, unsuited to age group, and violence.
10)Two Boys Kissing, by David Levithan
Reasons: Homosexuality and other (“condones public displays of affection”).

Jamie as Mr. Grey

Today I read a lot of nastiness about Jamie as Christian Grey; mind you it was mainly from people that did not like the books. Or are still bitter about Charlie H. bowing out for the role. Honestly, Jamie is the perfect fit, he fits the physical description of Christian. He has the Christian "smolder"; its hard to explain but he is exactly what I imagine. He is pretty but not to much; he is manly, he can play cocky and dominant and he can be the playboy. Not to mention the boy looks gorgeous no matter what he's wearing...and without clothes...well...lol...we don't need to get into that. So ladies give Jamie a chance; stop hating and enjoy the show!
