These are 9 of the 13 digital galleys I received today. The publishers I requested them from have very strict guidelines and I am super blessed to have been given such an awesome chance to read these for My blog, goodreads and tumblr. So big thanks to Tyndale, Random House, Thomas Nelson, Kensington Books, Poisoned Pen Press and Oxford University Press.

My reading life in a nutshell
When I read I prefer red wine....it keeps you toasty warm and focused...unless your've had to much...lol...then your sleepy and clumsy and may spill wine on a very precious book. If the book is terrible then it is really no great lost lol....except you wasted perfectly good wine lol

Another book series.....*sigh* I really need to leave series alone
Why be the sheep, when you can be the wolf?
Seventeen-year-old Ismae escapes from the brutality of an arranged marriage into the sanctuary of the convent of St. Mortain, where the sisters still serve the gods of old. Here she learns that the god of Death Himself has blessed her with dangerous gifts—and a violent destiny. If she chooses to stay at the convent, she will be trained as an assassin and serve as a handmaiden to Death. To claim her new life, she must destroy the lives of others.
Ismae’s most important assignment takes her straight into the high court of Brittany—where she finds herself woefully under prepared—not only for the deadly games of intrigue and treason, but for the impossible choices she must make. For how can she deliver Death’s vengeance upon a target who, against her will, has stolen her heart?

Just a little update on a book I am reading...Johannes Cabal: The Necromancer!
So I get to the last page of a chapter and the author describes escaped psych patient Rufus Maleficarus ; as a man who was being treated for "a soul searing, sanity dissolving, profoundly malevolent appetite for power and revenge". Also this Rufus fellow is pretty bad ass because he helped some three dozen other patients escape via a summoning circle. His doctor insists that this could have been avoided if Rufus just talked through his issues. Lol. I have never read anything so dang funny in my life lol.

Hey ya'll I just got this ARC as an eBook and I will be reading this fall....
Here is the synopsis:
A sweeping historical romance about a witch who foresees her own murder--and the one boy who can help change her future.
Sixteen-year-old Avery Roe wants only to take her rightful place as the witch of Prince Island, making the charms that keep the island's whalers safe at sea, but her mother has forced her into a magic-free world of proper manners and respectability. When Avery dreams she's to be murdered, she knows time is running out to unlock her magic and save herself.
Avery finds an unexpected ally in a tattooed harpoon boy named Tane--a sailor with magic of his own, who moves Avery in ways she never expected. Becoming a witch might stop her murder and save her island from ruin, but Avery discovers her magic requires a sacrifice she never prepared for.
